Mobile World Congress 2012 - We'll be there!
The Foreign Trade Administration (FTA) in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor along with the Israeli Export Institute (IEICI) will try and assist with the common problem that numerous mobile application developers deal with these days. "We have noticed that developers that have developed fantastic applications based on great ideas, don't have the time, or the funds to travel abroad and display their applications to potential investors", says Yuval Bitan, consultant to the IEICI, "We will present all of those who wish to, but can't afford to participate in this significant event. Additionally, we have an extraordinary way of lifting up those Israeli companies that will be presented by us, at the MWC. This year, a huge display screen will be located within the Israeli National Pavilion. The screen, that is about 2.5M high and 2.5M width, is aimed at "catching" the visitors? attention, and will tempt the visitors to touch, operate and play with the displayed Israeli-developed applications, which will be presented in the congress along with more than 200 countries? apps' developers. "The main idea is first of all to differentiate the Israeli-developed apps from the rest of the crowd. Our goal is to lift up almost 40 Israeli companies that bring their technology to the Mobile World Congress, and give them the maximum coverage. Starting with showing their products up on the largest touch screen ever made for this event to creating actual business leads."
This year, the variety of the presented Israeli-developed applications and ideas can be easily considered as wide-ranging. From applications that are targeted towards the enterprise-use, thorough unique 3D QR scanners, and to helpful utilities and Mobile Financial Services (MFS) platforms. "Along with the enormous touch screen, we will have several tablets and Smartphone devices running the displayed Israeli-developed applications", says Yuval, "The idea is to give those who played with the huge touch screen, and found some apps interesting, the ability to play and test the applications more deeply. 'Sensing' the application 'on-hands' is a vital matter that cannot be ignored."
